Pre-Installation Preparation

 

• Clear Access: Please ensure the pathway to the door, both inside and outside is clear of furniture, décor, rugs, or other obstructions. This allows our team to work safely and efficiently.

• Securing Pets: For everyone’s safety, all pets must be secured in a separate area during the installation. Since the door will be open at times, we want to avoid any unexpected escapes or injuries.

• Weather Considerations: In cases of rain, high winds, or extreme temperatures, we may reschedule your installation to ensure safe and effective service. We’ll keep you updated in the event of weather-related delays.

 

 

Door Removal & Temporary Barrier

 

During installation, your existing door will be temporarily removed. While the door is out, we’ll install a foam barrier in the opening to help maintain your indoor temperature and keep out dust or debris. This also offers privacy and comfort during the installation process.

 

 

Door Condition & Insert Alignment

 

Glass inserts are installed square to the door, not the door frame. Our standard is to align the insert within 1/8th of an inch (+/-) of square to ensure a clean, professional finish.

 

It’s important that your door is in good condition, free from major warping, twisting, or structural damage. Doors with significant imperfections may affect how the insert sits or appears after installation. Our team will assess your door upon arrival and let you know if any issues could impact the final result.

 

 

On-Site Expectations

 

• An adult (18+) must be present during the installation.

• The typical install takes 1 to 2 hours.

• For safety, we ask that children and household members avoid the work area during installation.

 

 

After Installation

 

Once your insert is installed, we’ll clean the workspace and provide basic care tips to keep it looking great. We invite you to review the final result with us before we leave.
